Location – Woodley
Job description – Create a large raised decked area at the rear of the property.
Work carried out – Before the decking structure could be started, I firstly had to clear the ground that would be beneath it. Old patio slabs were removed and given back to Graham for him to re-use another time. Then I began marking out the individual posts that support the main structure and inserted and secured them into the ground. Joists were then hand cut and used with the posts to create a platform for the main top boards to be fitted on to. I then positioned a weed control mat underneath the structure to prevent future damage. Once the base was completed the top boards were measured and fitted. This included the technical job of cutting the timber to fit neatly around Graham’s drain pipe!
This was all the work Graham required as he was able to finish the fascia himself.
