Ruth and Tom have a beautiful home in Sonning that has been extensively renovated and refurbished, leading to a disconnect with the landscape around it.

When we first met with them in the Summer of 2024, their priority was to transform the rear terrace. This was laid with uneven concrete flagstones and completely overgrown with weeds and unkept plants.

Our aim for this area was to create a contemporary, open plan space to mirror the dynamics of their home life. Softened with a more manageable planting scheme and anchored by a striking raised pond positioned right in the heart of it.

We continued to work closely with Ruth and Tom during the build process to ensure any revisions or changes to plan were executed within the allowed timeframe and after just 6 weeks, their terrace was transformed.

The full Pound Lane project was particularly special for us as it required many months of planning and execution, allowing us to watch this part of the garden ‘settle in’ and see how it bloomed over the summer months.
