Jacqueline lives in a terraced house in the middle of the city centre, with limited access to her garden from the front of the property.
She wanted to make the best use of the space but wasn’t sure what could be achieved, so she contacted MH Landscapes for our opinion.
When we first visited, the garden was in a very sorry state, full of weeds and mounds of soil.
Her aim was for a simple, contemporary style with very low maintenance.
We had to carry all materials carefully though her house which made it an extremely labour intensive project.
In spite of this, in just 15 days we were able to transform her garden from an abandoned plot to a clean and contemporary urban haven.
Initially, our team spent a lot of time levelling the ground so as to give a flat surface.
Once this had been done, we laid an Astro Turf low maintenance lawn.
This was surrounded with a brick border and gravel flower bed, suitable for housing pot plants.
We screened the left-hand boundary with Venetian trellis.
Feather-edge fencing was erected along the right boundary.
Our last big job was to lay a large Black Limestone patio at the rear of the property, which provided a place to eat and relax in the warmer weather.
Finally, strategically placed solar lighting gives a warm glow when needed.
“The team have worked so hard and made such an effort to transform my garden with the restricted access. I am very happy and look forward to enjoying it with friends over the weekend!”
