Simon and Holly wanted us to transform their bland rear garden into a more useable family space.

They were particularly keen to gain privacy and screening from the neighbouring properties and wanted to utilise the sun filled part of the garden with a patio area for lounging on.

We spent some time putting together our proposal for the garden and the final layout was agreed.

To meet the need for privacy, we recommended raising the existing height of the boundary fence by installing stylish Venetian fencing,

Adding instant greenery with six tall Laurel trees would provide privacy all year.

We then suggested building a timber pergola to sit above the main patio area which would offer even more screening of the opposite properties.

We lay three separate terraces in silver grey porcelain to provide different zones which would maximise the use of the garden. Porcelain was the perfect choice for a family, as it is anti-slip, requires no maintenance or upkeep and is wipe clean if it gets muddy!

The finished garden took only 2 weeks to complete and has transformed the once uninspiring space into a stylish and practical addition to this young family’s home.

“We will be more than happy to provide a recommendation as we absolutely love how the garden turned out from the design process to seeing it now! It’s been a pleasure having you and the team work on it for us.”
