Richard and Celia wanted to make changes to their garden that would benefit their growing family. When MH Landscapes arrived to discuss their ideas their garden was sloping from once side to the other making it very difficult to use the space. They had a very narrow paved area directly off their patio doors that couldn’t fit any furniture and the entire space was practical for their family needs.

MH Landscapes’ task was to level the lawn area, extend the patio and make the garden secure for their young daughter to play safely in.

Our first task was to remove the large conifer hedging from the back of the garden and replace with it with a new featheredge fence. this would free up more space for the new lawn. Then we had a hard task taking out 20 tonne of soil and clay to get the garden as flat as possible.

Once the levels had been determined we lay the new extended patio area and put a sleeper retaining wall in to separate it from the lawn. We then erected a picket fence along the retaining wall so the lawn section would be secure for their daughter to play safely on.

The final tasks were to lay the new turf and build a bespoke side gate to give the garden that added security.

This project took us 10 days to complete and is a fantastic transformation! Richard and Celia now have a practical and safe garden that they can get full use out of.

I, Celia and little Amelia would like to say how hard Matt and the team have worked over the last two weeks

to get the garden finished… It has been very much appreciated!
